Bassizzzt,
I didn't notice a rally scheduled for D.C., but I might have overlooked it. I will check UAC's site to see if a D.C. is having a rally. The CA area seems to have several rallies scheduled.
Samwich,
So far, in my short time in the blogosphere, I have not deleted any comments--except for spam or my own pathetic typos. I feel that people need to remember that whatever they type in goes up into a public domain.
I am uncomfortable with hate-filled and/or strong-language exchanges, ad hominem attacks, etc. At the same time, I know that arguments can get heated, particularly when matters of personal beliefs are involved.
I read every comment posted here, but lately I've been way behind in reading and considering the comments; I won't go into all the reasons for my delay, but they are valid reasons. I haven't been to Beaker's in the last few days, so I'm not sure what you're referring to by don't brag about it at Beaker's. I may or may not get by Beaker's site this weekend as my schedule is a busy one, with a family celebration on both Saturday and Sunday. But if you and Beamish want to fight it out at Beaker's, that might be best as I know that quite a dispute has been going on between you two. I would prefer that students not be exposed to some of what's been going on here. As most commenters here know, students sometimes read this site.
I would remind everyone to read "Important Notice," on the right sidebar. That notice has been on the right sidebar since early last summer--it is not new.
Personally, I try to limit myself to exchanges which are "salt and light." Because I am human, I am not always successful in my attempts, but I try hard.
Off to work now!
I wish I could make the one at Ground Zero. I do not like going there for obvious reasons that older readers of mine are well aware of. I will have to see if I can reshuffle my case load. I am up around 400 as I got down to 60 and someone opened the floodgates.
Sam Mr Beamish is a close friend who I value just as I value your friendship.
Samwich,
AOW, I moved to get beamish's hate fest away from you and your students.
I know. Beak once said that I'm the mannerly type. So, true to form, I say "Thank you."
The information I posted about the economy is incredibly valuable to anybody who can figure it out.
The information will stay up as long as Blogger stays up.
The seed I planted, "The essence of a voice" will grow if you nuture them. I am off to plant another seed in another soil. That is what I'm supposed to do.
I get the message. I understand.
Sambitch,
What to say? I had a look.
Sometimes it's best to keep silent, so that's what I'll do.
Samwich,
I am not "sambitch"...
I know!
AOW
Back to the original thread I wish I could make it home. Being 400 miles away from the protest is a bit far I will be there in spirit.
Beak,
UAC is having multiple demonstrations in California. I don't see one listed for my area, however.
I know that you will be at Ground Zero in spirit.
A little aside here...Just a few minutes ago, I learned that a swastika was painted on my neighbor's house last night. He doesn't live there right now because he's in the process of demolishing the current 1904 structure and will build a new structure. Yes, he is Jewish. I don't yet know if there is a spate of these in my neighborhood (vandalism?) or if the swastika is a solitary event.
Good heavens about the swastika - that's terrible. What is the world coming to?
Thanks for the info. on the rally! The Troll and I are planning to go to the one close to us. I just LOVE rallies! Especially if it's against islamofascism!!
We'll blog about it. Yes - we will!
For the record, it is Samwich who has slinging all the homosexual fantasies he has about me on blogs I visit because:
a) I busted him through IP addresses posting gay advances on my blog under a different name - "Rapeublican"
b) I call him on his bullshit on a damned near daily basis and he can't stand it
If Samwich's credit report is any indication, he needs to worry more about making his house payment on his little shack outside Seattle and less about spoiling everyone's blogs calling me a "shitstain."
The difference between me and lil' Ricky, I know how to use the internet, and he barely knows how to log on.
Iran Watch,
I tossed you that link because I know the focus of your blog. The "diary" you are keeping is important, IMO.
I am going to use that link myself in my next piece, which I plan to put up on Monday or Tuesday.
Monica,
I'm trying to find out if the swastika is an isolated event. That would be more disturbing than simple vandalism.
Nobody has been living in that house for some months now because of the red tape needed to start the demolition; in fact, the present owner has never lived there, though his name is on file at the County Records Department. But the house didn't appear obviously deserted. Also, this neighbor recently purchased the house, and the previous neighbor wasn't Jewish.
It goes without saying that nothing like this has ever happened here before.
If you attend a rally near you, would you let me know how things went? I'm especially interested in how many show up. You can email me the info, if you like.
I have not seen any major antisemitism up here but there certainly are bigots. Then again I am not the person to pick on and the town knows I am fast on the draw.
In general I try and avoid the locals as much as possible. I am always polite until provoked but I have little in common.
Samwich,
You've been threatening to sue me for over a month now. You've been following me around to blogs I frequent and making gay comments even longer. I've got the IP addresses to prove it. Your stupid ass leaves a trail on the internet a blind man could follow, and your financial situation is best described as "what's a fifty dollar bill look like?"
You don't even know how to keep your social security number offline. Not that it's worth anything, with the shitty credit you have.
Go trade your food stamps for another crack rock and weave us another war story, "sniper."
Samwich: AOW was glad to be free of this.
That's true enough.
By nature, I'm not as confrontational as Samwich and Beamish. Maybe Samwich and Beamish can duke it out somewhere else?
Until the recent big explosion, both have been frequent commenters to this blog.
I'm trying to stay out of this. I don't have time to keep up right now. I noticed this morning that some comments have been deleted by the author. I, of course, didn't delete anything, and certainly any comment-author can delete his/her own comments through Blogger. Therefore, it's hard for me to follow the sequence of comments, though I have seen recent comments at Beak's. At this point, I don't WANT to follow the sequence anyway--not my fight, so to speak.
Beak,
As far as I know, we have only two Jewish neighbors here. But I confess that I don't run around asking, "Hey, what's your belief system or ethnic background?"
I think I'll check with the other Jewish neighbor to see if he's had any trouble.
We've had gang wars in the neighborhood--MS 13--but that was years back as far as this immediate neighborhood goes. But MS 13 has reared its head several blocks away at a convenience store, and I've seen the shoes on telephone lines as well as some graffiti on the bike trail and the overpasses.
The previous owner of the house I mentioned was a retired police officer, BTW. He is as surprised as I am that a swastika has appeared here.
I'm sure we have bigots in this area, but all has been quiet until Friday night. We all "get along" here in this neighborhood, which until the construction of the McMansions was more like a small town than a suburb: we knew each other's names, had community Thanksgiving feasts, etc. But the more urban we become here, the more trouble we'll have, I suppose.
Samwich deleted all his gay postings because I got tired of his lawsuit threats and immature name-calling lies about how super-important and "rich" he is and took a peek at everything accessible on the internet about him, which is A LOT because his privacy security skills would make an amateur private investigator roll on the floor laughing their guts out at how simple it is.
I'm not at all worried about our favorite "Vietnam veteran" wannabe sniper's threats to have me thrown in jail for mocking him. He's a soft target wondering where his next dime to pay back child support to his abused ex-wife is going to come from. "Fixed" income is the reality behind lil' Ricky's millionaire daydreams.
He's not even worth pitying, except in a "my god could you imagine something more pathetic" sort of way.
AOW,
Real rally recommended in Palestine. Terrorists won the election.
Samwich,
Stop singing and start bringing.
BTW, lawyers want money, not EBT cards.
Dont say stiff, Ducky. You'll get Samwich all hot and bothered.
Fight it out elsewhere--please.
Thanks.
Okay, all kidding aside, what kind of idiot looks at "the right's" control of the White House, the Congress, the Supreme Court, most of the state Governorships, and half of the state legislatures and says "Generally the right can't even organize a block party."
Beamish,
You can't organize "a block party" if the media won't announce it. UAC asked me to post this announcement. I'm not a member of UAC, but I still think that some of the organization's aims are good ones.
Andrew Whitehead of Anti-CAIR will attend as a private citizen, or so his latest newsletter announced.
I wonder how much participation these rallies will get?
As Bassizzzt pointed out, it's too bad there won't be a rally in D.C. right outside the offices of CAIR. I'm pretty certain that CAIR will not be participating.
Shah,
Terrorists won the election.
And how is the world going to react? By recognizing Hamas as a legitimate government? Norway has already done so!
Such a step by all the major powers would be a decision with horrific consequences. At the same time, fear of losing the oil supply holds the world hostage.
Hamas personifies Islamofascism. The Hamas Charter makes me gasp and makes the organization's intentions clear.
Norway has already done so!
They have a great tradition - Vidkun Quisling and Co.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vidkun_Quisling
Not to poop on all the outrage over the terrorist Hamas being elected, but Yasser Arafat and Mahmoud "Abu Mazen" Abbas weren't exactly saints as far as terrorism is concerned. There really isn't a reason to use precision guided weaponry in the West Bank and Gaza unless you're specifically targeting innocent people.
Beamish,
Yasser Arafat and Mahmoud "Abu Mazen" Abbas weren't exactly saints as far as terrorism is concerned.
You're right there!
One can hope that Hamas's political victory will open some eyes.
Felis,
I'm not surprised that Norway is "first," so to speak. So far, the rest of the Western world seems to be not of like mind.
Bassizzzt,
I find it remarkable, in an ugly way, that there are no UAC rallies in the D.C. area.
To allay your worst fears, it would seem that Norway hasn't yet made any definitive decision about Hamas' victory yet. Please read this from The Norway Post.
Merkel's comments in Israel are also somewhat encouraging. She said that Hamas could expect no funding from the EU until it rejected violence and accepted Israel's right to exist. She added that Germany would never accept their denial of the Holocaaust. Tough words at last from central Europe!
Mark,
I appreciate your leaving the link. Here's an excerpt:
Palestinian elections: Norway awaiting full picture
Norway's attitude to a possible Hamas government will be the same as to any other democratically elected government. But at the same time we remind them to renounce violence, Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere says.
So perhaps Norway has yet to make a decision. Is Norway waiting to see the rest of the world's reaction? Very possibly, IMO.
For me, a renunciation of violence on the part of Hamas isn't believable unless Hamas also announces that Hamas will recognize Israel's right to exist. I don't see Hamas doing that. Do you?
I've never approved of funding Fatah, despite its claims of secularity. Last year alone, the U.S. gave $403 million to the Palestinian government in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Supposedly, that money went to aid public works project and some other programs managed by nongovernmental organizaitons. In addition, European governments provided about $300 million. [Source = January 30, 2006 Washington Post]
Today Condi Rice is scheduled to meet with officials from the U.N., the E.U., and Russia in order to discuss the Hamas victory. She said, "Perhpas Palestinian people want their children to be suicide bombers, and that's the great desire of large numbers of the Palestinian population. I don't believe it." [WaPo] Well, if the Palestinian people don't support jihad, why did Hamas overwhelmingly win those seats to Parliament?
Duck,
I suspect that you are right, but I'll wait and see what the turnout is.
You know, and I know, that Hamas will NEVER renounce violence. Violence is in their blood. They will never accept Israel's right to exist, either. This comes from their disgusting, deep-seated anti-Semitism. And then we have their pronouncements on the Holocaust to consider, too. They say that even that was a myth. God! These people really ARE beyond the pale!
Bassizzzt,
Yeah, the Free Muslims March against Terror had virtually no attendees. And CAIR didn't participate, either. No surprise there.
AOW,
Ducky does have a point on turnouts for "conservative" tinged protests, but only if you take into account most of us work for a living during the day. But we know how to get to the voting booths on Election Day, and ultimately, that's what matters.
It looks like “they” found Elmer’s Bro. He’s up to the task. I threw my two cents in (and he appreciated it) but the "Islamic brotherhood" is just spamming his comments section with junk that no one is going to read. I delete posts like that since everyone can put a summary and a link. My only response to them is “we know the truth now so you can stop lying.”
I have my shortest article yet: here
Jason,
I saw your shortest article earlier tonight. You made your point, huh? Anonymous Infidel doesn't mince any words in his/her comments.
And how many Muslims will show up for tomorrow's R.A.I.D. gatherings? Probably fewer that the Muslims Against Terror March last spring here in the D.C. area.
Glad that you stopped by Elmer's Bro. At the same time that particular article of his started getting attention, so did one of mine. I haven't had time to decipher the comments at my article, though.
aow - you'll be happy to know there's a uac rally in the great big town of harrison, arkansas tomorrow (the town closest to me) but i will be unable to attend as we have a dental appointment for one of our kids with teeth in arkansas - well, all my kidz have teeth - geez, we're from california - teeth are the most important thing next to liposuction to the people from california!
Nanc,
Welcome!
While R.A.I.D. meets in California, the CA chapter of CAIR is after another radio talkshow host, Bill Handel. I mentioned Handel in my posting today "Muslim Outrage, Cartoons, and CAIR."
teeth are the most important thing next to liposuction to the people from california
So I've noticed! Most of my inlaws live in Southern CA. They have perfect teeth and no cellulite. Skin cancer--well, that's a different matter.
Troll,
Man alive!
Here's a brief excerpt from your posting:
Russian FM Sergei Lavrov put this information before the five permanent UN Security Council and Germany, which Tuesday night, Jan. 30, agreed for the first time to haul Iran before the UN body over its nuclear program. Until then, Moscow and Beijing had stood out against the UN nuclear watchdog’ referring the Iran dossier to the Security Council....
According to Lavrov, Russian intelligence estimates that Iran is now capable of detonating this non-weaponized nuclear device - or in other words carrying out its first nuclear test.
However, on Jan. 21, the opposition FDI claimed Iran would carry out its first nuclear test before the Iranian new year, which falls on March 20....
At the same time, according to the same unnamed diplomats, the agency passed to Tehran intelligence provided by the US that suggests Iran has been working on details of nuclear weapons, such as missile trajectories and ideal altitudes for exploding warheads.
When the IAEA asked Iran for an explanation of the documents, Tehran replied they had been obtained from members of a nuclear black market network....
In a lecture last March, I heard from Mahdi Obeidi that some 100 centrifuges are on the loose; the brain trust of scientists is also on the loose and looking to make a living. Dr. Obeidi was the head of Saddam's nuclear-development program and defected when Baghdad fell, giving up all the materials in his back yard. If he's right that materials and scientific knowledge is out there, available to the highest bidder, your report could be right.
I have no doubt that this stuff is out there. Kahdafi was acquiring it also before he decided not to be one of the countries with a bullseye on it.
The NYC rally was somewhat disappointing—about 2 dozen turned up. Unfortunately, I couldn’t stay long and meet everyone. It would have been nice to chat. Years from now, we could have reminisced how we were one of the few that were there in the beginning.
I saw one heated exchange between an Iranian fellow who was trying to say that it is not Islam that's the problem … others weren’t buying it even though the organizers wanted the focus to be of Islamo-fascism. But, in person, I enjoy a good argument and I would have liked to debate the fellow. But I had to get back to work.
President Bush mentioned the threat of radical Islam in his State of the Union address.
Start the block party!
(up yours, Ducky!)
Jason,
This is interesting:
I saw one heated exchange between an Iranian fellow who was trying to say that it is not Islam that's the problem … others weren’t buying it...
No rally here, as far as I know.
Ducky,
It did surprise me that Bush has named the enemy in more precise terms, something he has seemed hesitant to do in the past.
And again, I must correct you, Ducky. Your leftism precludes any right you may imagine you have to insult anyone's intelligence, as leftists are physically incapable of rational thought.
Dimbulbs in flyover country, heh. Have you Massachussetts Idiots (tm) figured out how to secure an airport yet? I mean, since Al Gore ranted about the lax security at Logan over 10 years ago?
It wasn't red staters that gave aircraft to jihadis.
My rally account is up at my blog, as well as a picture of the IslamoThugs who showed up in NYC. I'm trying to get that picture out there as much as possible.
Pim's Ghost,
I saw your two articles and also read the comments thereto. "Islamothugs" is right!
Received via email from UAC...
Report from the rallies:

Our little group in Lansdale PA was a teeny, tiny little group. Five of us were there.
That didn't stop us though - oh no! Our brave little band of patriots were outside the train station and many, many cars were beeping and giving thumbs up to our signs saying NO TO ISLAMOFASCISM - NOT HERE! And NO NUKES FOR IRAN! NO TO RADICAL ISLAM! Some people stopped and talked and literature was handed out.
It's a little tough to attend a rally like this in the middle of the week/middle of the day/not much notice of the rally happening ahead of time. The only reason we could make it is due to our odd schedule.
I am glad that we went and thanks AOW for posting the information.
Monica,
I'm so glad to heare that you were able to attend a rally. I find it disheartening, however, that there was no rally in our nation's capital.
Mike,
The enemy is here, and some don't even bother staying under cover any more. What does that tell us?
