The D'RATS at DU have targeted this woman's email and put it up on their site so that she can be spammed... per their belief in free speech and tolerance for all, no doubt!

I think it is a bit misplaced to blame the stupidity of leftists on nostalgic hippies. The stupidity of leftists is a hand-in-hand ideological package deal that dates back to the French revolution.
In that case plucky, since we are such lost and benighted souls, why do you sully yourself by hanging out at our sites? Or is it that there is more truth than you want to admit?

Nanc- I guess plucky won't come visit and see what I'm really like! He complains that I'm jumping to conclusions, and yet he doesn't want to get to close. I don't like war at all, but there are times we must fight, and dawdling along just means more people on BOTH sides suffer and die! But not fighting is not always an option. He doesn't get it that mohammadins hate us because they hate!
I think if he really got to know any of us, he would find we are a lot more caring than he could imagine.:sigh:

Lately, I've been swamped with loads of paper-grading. We're coming to the end of the semester. Christmas vacation begins early with my homeschool group, and the older students have only one more week before our long break. I'm counting down the days.

When I first read the article, I thought, "After years of angling for power, the inmates are running the asylum."
I do not think hippies can run the nation. Certainly, Democrats won the election. But voters wanted to show their frustration to current Iraq policy. I do not believe they are wholehearted supporter of Democrats.
Viet cons never thought of attacking America and its allies at home. Islamic terrorists will do, even if the coalition withdraws from Iraq and Afghanistan.
Well, if Ducky believes I feel superior to him in every concievable way - GOOD! - at least he's internalizing some of my message.

This is a case where products must be reduced to their lowest common denominator. Hippies don't always reduce to leftists. Leftists don't always reduce to hippies. But both hippies and leftists always reduce to morons.

Just to clarify...I was addressing Duck's tying your gutter religion to feelings of superiority, but forgot to copy-and-paste that portion of Duck's comment.

I am putting you in a category with people like Dennis Prager (A FPM favorite)
I rarely read Prager or FPM, although sometimes friends email me links for various articles, some of which do come from FPM. I do, as you know, use FPM for reference because it has a good search-engine.
If I've made claims to exceptionalism, I don't recall them. I feel that you have an air of exceptionalism. That said, this medium we're using is an imperfect medium, so we could sometimes get and give wrong impressions if one looks at just one article or thread of comments.
You have the "true" point of view and the hell with everything else.
I have strong convictions, but I've never had the attitue of to hell with the rest.
As to my narrow views, I'd say the same about yours being narrow. Impasse there. We'll rarely agree.
