Brainstorm This: Stop CAIR

A commenter to the previous article said the following: "I think CAIR sucks, and it is time WE brought them down."

A few possible ways to do that:

1. The blogs

2. Print and start dropping business cards as shown here, but change the lead-in to "Learn the truth about CAIR." Then add some links from wherever; Daniel Pipes is one source. Also, see here, here, and here. (Those last three are from the inimitable Mr. Beamish, who left the URL's in a comment to a previous article)

3. Contact political representatives, DHS, the media, etc. Don't stop!

4. Regularly visit CAIR's web site. See what the current strategies are. Counter those. For example, when I see that CAIR is after a newspaper, I contact that newspaper and furnish the editor(s) some appropriate links and quotes about CAIR. I've noticed recently that CAIR is promoting using public-library gatherings to promote CAIR's agenda. Are these gatherings going to go unopposed?

5. We need a champions in the media--champions who are willing to risk exposing CAIR. Who might that champion be?

6. An Counter-CAIR lobby group?

Just a few thoughts off the top of my head. Other ideas? The above list is not comprehensive.

Brainstorming is important, but implementation is even more important.

Keep those letters to the editors coming. Anytime you see CAIR quotes used in an article, write the paper telling them the truth about CAIR and their tactics.

Great post, AOW! Keep the pressure on!

There is a far simpler way to do this. There were Islamic community leaders who held a rally in DC and said in front of an audience who is for Hammas and Who is for Hezbollah. There were lunatics cheering in the audience. Now according to some news reports Hezbollah has been providing expertise and explosives to terrorists in Iraq.

1 Lets ask CAIR if they still support these groups.

2 Lets also send people who raise money for those groups to Gitmo and offer donnors deportation or internment. Aiding groups attacking servicemen is Sedition and free speech does not include sedition.

beakerkin;

Only problem is "We" wont get a response. A national media outlet needs to be on this. Really, look for one of the radio talk show hosts that is looking for some ratings jump. Established ones (Limbaugh, Hannity) wont touch it because it is potentially harmful to their careers.

I am going to hit up Savage Nation (Michael Savage), and Bortz with email, after email, after email, after email....

Hopefully this will get through at some point. Another thing you could do is write weekly letters to the Editor in smaller local papers (they wont get printed in big city papers). And try to slowly open up eyes. Most folks dont even know they exist.

Esther and G,

After reading your comments, morning I sent emails out to many of the msm.

Wording:

"Interested in breaking this story?" Then I added a link or two.

Might not do any good, but nothing will happen until one makes the effort.

NY Girl,
I don't know of any organizations which give money to CAIR [There's a topic to research!], but I believe that CAIR receives funds from Saudi. And Saudi has deep, deep pockets.

Yes, Graham was immediately hired. That's good!

Beak,
We can ask CAIR questions, but I don't have much confidence in getting an honest answer.

I'd love to send seditious groups to Gitmo. And deprive them of the Koran and Das Kapital.

Ny Girl has the right idea (if I understand this right) find out what companies are funding CAIR, post their names and call for a boycott.

NY Girl & David,
We'll have to boycott the gas stations. CAIR receives funds from Saudi, I believe.

One way to approach this problem is to make a stand against the those who would give CAIR too great a voice. When media outlets cave in to CAIR demands, or allow them to make unchallenged claims; the sponsors of said outlet should be notified of an impending boycott. If the program in question does not correct its offending behavior, or if the sponsor does not pull sponsorship from offending program within two weeks; then a general boycott of the sponsors goods and services will take place for one year. If the dollars are right; this will make sure CAIR is kept in check, though still able to get their message out. I think we actually benifit from them running their mouths.

Pilgrim,
Thank you for stopping by my blog.

You're correct that we can benefit from CAIR's recent overstep, but only if we take on the battle. What is maddening is that, when Graham has been interviewed in the msm, the interviewers try to cut him off when he talks of CAIR.

PS: Those are beautiful photos on your blog!

NY Girl,
I was being sarcastic when I smarted off about boycotting gas stations. But the fact remains that what we're spending on gasoline may, directly or indirectly, benefit Saudi. Saudi puts money in CAIR's coffers.
