They send you a very nice commemorative coin when you donate.

EB,
Yes, the commemorative coin is quite beautiful. I got one some time back, when I first donated.

As far as I know, those coins are still distributed.

Donation is worthy. Just a letter of support is helpful as well.

I found a similar site, called "ThankyouTony.com." I sent a letter through this site three times.

Just add "www." to the above website. Anyone can send a letter to thank Tony Bair.

Shah,
Nice to see you visiting here.

I read in the newspaper today that the PM of Japan is visiting here. I believe that he wants to go to Elvis Presley's Graceland.

Bruiser,
I don't know that our servicemen and servicewomen are looking for handouts. Soldier's Angels is just one way for those of us who are not in service to support our Forces.

Hope your MRI went alright AOW. Let us know the results.

Florian,
Thank you for your concern. What I'm tormented with ever since the car accident is not life-threatening, but might be life-altering. We'll see.

The results were to be sent to my orthopedist today. At the latest, I'll know the results on July 25, my next visit with the ortho.

So, for now, I'm coming off the steroids (fatigue!) and preparing to start another anti-inflammatory, which should hold me until July 25.

I have to say, however, with this reduction in the dose of steroids, I don't feel as well today. Ugh!

Bruiser- I used to work in a grocery store near an AF base, the wives would come in with WIC and food stamps because thier husbands were not being pais enough to live on, this was with housing and health care! They are paid BELOW the poverty level!
AoW- I found keeping the knee of the affected leg raised above the level of the hip when sitting, this relieves the pressure on the nerve between the discs!
G*D bless you with healing!
