yeah - and if you put beef in your chili beans, you too can be responsible for the greenhouse gas state of affairs...that's precisely the reason i wouldn't allow nancpop to put any beans in our chili yesterday.

Nanc,
I couldn't resist posting this story before hitting the sack for my Friday-afternoon nap.

My nap awaits, and the winds here are howling. I suspect that I'll lose electric power this afternoon, but maybe the outages will be intermittent.

The next thing you know, some liberal legislator will be sponsoring a bill that requires ranchers to spread Beano on pastures and hay bails.

Since poor people account for 90% of human CO^2 emissions, shouldn't they pay 90% of the emissions taxes? All we need to do is patent a new pair of emissions measuring underwear, and we can tax the third world into population control (especially the pseudostinians... @ a world-leading ~4.9% annual pop. growth rate(?))

Good Afternoon, AoW! My God, you just KNOW some Lefty professor is going to write up a grant proposal to study this!

I thought that was how of this nonsense about green house gases started---some professor wanted to get a grant.

Is any one here old enough to remember the ice age scare of the late 60's early 70's.

If you think cows are bad, what do you think caused the last ice age?
Dinosaur farts!

Storm,

why, yes, I am old enough to remember that. I am NOT old enough to remember when both California, the east coast, and most of the south and mid west were underwater.

Many uneducated types will suggest that they were underwater because it was before the land was raised (I used to think so) by volcanic or mantle earth movements. They are wrong. We can find sharks teeth in the foothills just outside of Bakersfield in the southern San Joaquin Valley. We can also find sharks teeth on dry land in many other places including the east coast. Yes, the earth was warmer then than now. In fact, there were probably NO arctic or antarctic ice caps at the time!!! And the major earth forming had already occurred!!!

A little closer to the present, the Medieval warming period had a Chinese Naval Squadron circumnavigate the Arctic sea with nary a sign of ice cap. We also had vikings farming on Greenland (hard to do now with the permafrost!!) Iceland with little ice, Grapes growing in Scotland... The Little Che Sucky the Fascist Greenie MORON will never understand that his wonderful Renaissance was at least partially driven by a better climate and attendant food supply during that period!!!

Yup. the environmental MORONS are either deluded or working their Partisan Politics KNOWINGLY!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

The amazing thing is how they never seem to be able to figure out what is cause and what is effect!! It is quite easy to understand how warming would cause the creation of MORE greenhouse gases by the additional biota and the release from cold stores in the arctic, antarctic and undersea!! Of course, that doesn't get anyone elected, laws passed, populations coerced...

If you are interested I have a number of articles about recent discoveries and reiterations of earlier discoveries showing how the current global warming is NATURAL (like the sun's cycles). Use my ID and earthlink to email me for more info!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

As for the idea that cattle create enough Methane to be a problem, I would ask how the huge herds of Bison on the great plains didn't cause huge fires!?!?!?!?!

A little study by REAL scientists show that cattle and other herbivores do NOT release large amounts of methane. We ARE guilty of feeding domesticated, pen cattle corn and other things to fatten them quickly. This DOES create extra methane. Of course, their numbers STILL DON'T add up!!

CO2 is the greenhouse gas they beat us up over. WATER VAPOR IS ACTUALLY 95% of the greenhouse gases!!!! CO2 is about half of the rest (2.5%) and humans contribute about .5% of the CO2 gasses. The only Inconvenient Facts around environmentalism is how close it is to witchcraft!!!!

Go ahead, do the math. .5% of 2.5%!!!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Scientists discovered RECENTLY (they published this year) that GRASS produced more methane than the trees!!! This was NOT known previously and is not a part of the wonderful Global Climate Model!!!! Ya think the numbers above that the Model was based on just MIGHT be a little SKEWED?!?!?!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Yep. I heard that in biology class when I was in college. I'll bet some of those same professors, if they are still living, are now talking about global warming.

Send them to me if you have time:

Oh, and we simply must pass laws to prevent farts. **snerk**

All those vegetation-eaters must have been releasing loads of gas. Hehehe.

Donal,
some Lefty professor is going to write up a grant proposal to study this!

I wouldn't be surprised. After all, if the UN says that cow farts are a problem, it must be so.

Farmer,
emissions measuring underwear

Maybe we'll hear about this new invention in a few years. Give the science-fair students just a bit of time.

But would such underwear be condemned as a method of profiling?

Old Soldier,
The next thing you know, some liberal legislator will be sponsoring a bill that requires ranchers to spread Beano on pastures and hay bails.

Does Beano work on ruminants? Would have to be maximum strength, I think.

A spectacular conflagration. Might be as severe as a solar flare. ;)

Leftistas crack me up with their "chicken-little" imitations!
And I remember the "ice age" scare, the whole thing was hilareous, "We are going to get so hot, that the greenhouse gasses will cause a blanket around the Earth that will cause solar rays to bounce off into space, while we slowly freeze to death!" :rolling of eyes: Honestly, they all need to get "real" jobs and have something better to do with their time, energy and what little brains they have left. Like; paying bills, doing laundry, taking something out of the freezer for dinner, PAY TAXES...
Good morning, G*D bless and Maranatha!

OMG! My ten year old has to write an essay on global warming this coming week. She is not sure what she believes when presented with the question, "Is global warming real, and is it an immediate problem?"

We are going data searching soon - THIS is going to be very interesting!

Thanks AOW - and kuhnkat, I'll be emailing you, hon.

Oh - and I do remember the whole 'ice age' scare way back when.

We probably have enough ammo anyway.

Take care all!

This is the sad part, Global Warming THEORY THEORY THEORY THEORY has been so broadcasted by the media and schools that people actually think it is a fact. This teacher does not expect your child to right a paper about whether or not it exists. She/he expects a paepr to show how horrible were are and how we need to take actions now.

AOW,

That Beamishism dates back to the early 1990s. Probably # 3,723 but I'll have to check.

After reading this post, does anyone still care to sign my petition to ban di-hydrogen monoxide emissions and prevent its' runoff into our lakes and streams?

FJ,

That dihydrogen monoxide is deadly stuff. I've seen people nearly asphyxiate from getting it in their lungs.
