Announcement: I'm Sick Of Spam!
I've turned on Blogger's "Word Verification" because I'm spending too much time deleting spam in the comments sections. Sorry for any inconvenience to real commenters here.

No problemo. I'm still trying to figure out why it rejects about 50% of my attempts to reproduce the correct letters... but I consider that a problem that one day I might actually solve! ;-)

AOW, switch over to haloscan... it is free, and they have an auto-install option on their site. I have not gotten a single bit of spam since.
G,
I plan to switch to Haloscan, provided I don't lose comments to previous articles. For now, the switch will have to wait until Christmas break, when I hope to have time to tweak my blog.
FJ,
I, too, have to type in the verification--usually more than once.
FJ,
And...YOU are one of the commenters I specifically do not want to discourage. Thanks!
if I did that I would lose all my commentators..lmao
Can't blame you at all. Spam is hell!
I turned it on too. No problem. The only time I've had to type the word in twicw is at my own site!?.
God Bless America, God Save The Republic.
I see no problem with that.
Most of the blogs which I visit have this feature on.
Take care.
I am thinking about haloscan for trackback purposes. Any thoughts, anyone?
I'm sick of spam too...it's annoying!
LA . . . Haloscan be good.
Haloscan is good, unless your commenters like to use more than 1000 characters per post. Haloscan made me the short tempered to-the-point poster I am today.
hehe.
I too have to type the word verification letter combos twice sometimes. But I blame the combination of blurry vision and the crazy crunching of similar letters together. Like vvijelder could really be wijebler.
Or something. I digress.
Crusader,
I wouldn't leave! What you have to say is too important, and if I have any input, I've simply got to enter it.
Beamish,
But your digressions make me smile.
And sometimes the letter combinations of "Word Verifictation" are synchronistic.
Too all commenters,
"Word Verification" will stay for a while, but I may switch to Haloscan during Christmas break if I find time to tweak my site.
A word of advice here: Copy whatever you've said in case the delay in posting your comment, particularly if a lengthy one, gets "lost" when you try to post. At other sites, I've lost about a dozen lengthy comments to the ozone!
Hey, Stubborn, glad to have you back!
AOW,
I agree with the previous post. What you have to say is important, I got no problem. Keep on keeping on.
