First Blogoversary

Image hosting by Photobucket

As of April 28, I've been here a full year.

Northern Virginiastan extended an invitation to be a team blogger because I had anonymously been feeding that site a bit of information information about CAIR's library project, the Islamic Saudi Academy, and a few other concerns. My first official posting at Northern Virginiastan is here, also on April 28.

Then, through Jason and Beak, I stumbled into Mustang of Social Sense. Beak, gentleman that he is, invited me to one of his electronic bars, and I found some more friends.

On June 10, Mustang and I published "Our Own Gullibility" at my site, his site, Northern Virginiastan, Sixth Column, and The Wide Awakes; and I was off and running. Getting laid up due to a car accident in May gave me lots of time to explore the blogosphere (Romans 8:28), so here I am.

In addition to Northern Virginiastan, I now post at Infidel Bloggers Alliance and The Ultimate Insult. And this weekend, I'll be attending the symposium The Underlying Roots Of Terrorism: Terrorism's Threat to World Peace and National Security; I will, of course, be wearing blue.

Thanks to all who have supported this blog through their comments, encouragement, and contributed essays and poems—and to those who have helped me with "computer stuff" too. You know who you are, and I am grateful.

I also want to extend a special thank-you to Warren for designing my avatar!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY AOW.

You have found your niche in the blogosphere and have done it quite well. Here is how we know your blog is successful, you have become a valuable resource for those that want to learn more about Islamofascism and its ugliness.

GOOD JOB

My dear, dear friend AOW: Let me congratulate you for your tremendous accomplishments in this past year. I believe that you are doing important work. You have become a voice of reason in an increasingly unreasonable world. I hope you will "stay the course" because it is the right thing to do, and because I and so many others will be the beneficiaries of your intelligence and your deep understanding.

May God continue to grant you the light to see your duty, and the courage to perform that duty. Truly, it is a service to America, even among those who do not understand such concepts as "civic virtue."

And, by the way, I very proud to be able to call you my friend.

Thanks to all for stopping by. I'm burned out from the Symposium (last night for a few hours and all day today). I heard things which were hard to hear--but of supreme importance.

But I do appreciate coming home to read all these well-wishes. A year ago, I jumped into this endeavor, with barely enough knowledge to get a site up and running. Beamish says that the second year is easier. I hope so. This has been hard work, but anything worth doing always is hard work.

Just look at all the friends I've made here in the blogosphere!

Happy Anniversary. The blogosphere would be much poorer without your contribution. And the fight would be much harder ... not to mention lonelier. But we march forward hoping to wake-up others along the way. One of the nice things about the second year is to see all those just starting out and joining the fight.
