Hamid Mir, the only journalist to have interviewed Osama bin Laden and Ayman al Zawahri since the attacks of September 11, 2001, will be the keynote speaker at a symposium addressing the origins and threat of terrorism presented by America’s Truth Forum, a grassroots, non-partisan, educational organization.
The symposium, titled, Understanding the Threat of Radical Islamist Terrorism, is scheduled to take place on November 11, 2006 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The symposium is open to the public. Tickets are $150 per attendee and require advanced purchase due to security protocol.
Mr. Mir, a journalist from Pakistan, founding editor of Daily Ausaf Islamabad and Bureau Chief of Islamabad for GEO-TV, is Osama bin Laden’s officially sanctioned biographer. Mr. Mir brings to the symposium first-hand knowledge, gained through his interviews with the world’s most wanted terrorist, of al Qaeda’s nuclear capability, an in-depth knowledge of al Qaeda and Taliban operations in both Pakistan and Afghanistan, evidence of Iranian support – both financial and strategic – for the Taliban and al Qaeda and an intimate knowledge of the ideology that fuels the mind of Osama bin Laden. Mr. Mir was recently captured and released by Hezbollah during the recent 34 day war between Lebanese Hezbollah and Israel.
Mr. Mir joins a panel of internationally recognized counterterrorism experts for day-long educational symposium.
America’s Truth Forum launches the symposium on Friday evening with a VIP Pre-Symposium Reception on November 10, 2006. Those in attendance will be provided the unique opportunity to personally interact with our speakers and other "prominent" guests. It is amazing that journalists like Mir or nuts like Taliban boy can find Osama and the CIA can't. Maybe they need to send agents in under the cover of treasonous head cases.
That's what I was going to say! How come journalists can find the sob? It doesn't make any sense.
I would really like to be able to attend this event in Las Vegas, but time and money are the main factors at play which prevent me from going.
Tonight, however, I will be going to listen to Benazir Bhutto speak over at Mary Baldwin College in Staunton. That will be interesting and I will provide a blog review on her lecture. Visit my blog where I've mentioned Benazir and the questions I hope to be able to ask her.

I wonder how many bamboo shoots hammered under his toenails would get this guy to spill how he arranges meetings with OBL.
I mean, after we soften him up with light interrogation standards like "how much pain will cause you to puke your nuts up? Don't lie, we'll find out" and "Does this hurt more than this?"

He talked with Osama? Then, he knows something about Osama's health. Bin Laden has a serious disease. It is unbelievable that he still commands terrorists in remote mountains in Afghanistan and Pakistan. How does he find a good doctor?

I can think of no explanation other than some powerful people are helping OBL to hide. If OBL is as sick as we've been led to believe, he needs state-of-the-art medical care.

Yep. I've had my doubts as to the veractiy of OBL's illness.
I'm not attending the Symposium because of my back problems. I'd be interested in hearing if Hamid Mir offers any explanation as to how he has gotten in to see OBL and as to why he has never divulged OBL's location. I have a few ideas, but they are speculation. I rather imagine that some of the frustrations expressed here will be addressed.
