Good morning, G*D bless and Maranatha!

Duck,
The last symposium certainly didn't give DHS a pass.

lITTLE Che Ducky the Cowardly Lying Baby Killer:

You should talk to all the LEFTY holdovers from the Clintoon Administration in the DHS about those logical, intelligent rules they operate under.

I will grant them that even if they can't tell if a jell or explosive is in the shoe they can at least see if there is a SPACE for the explosive and whether there is some kind of ignition device embedded.

My, don't we all feel better now!!!

With my present up-in-the-air business schedule, that could be tight.

They should a/v record the entire symposium and market it to make it more accessable.

Seth,
You've reminded me that I need to check to see if a video of the first symposium is available.

I saw Mr. Shoebat on FNC early this morning. He should be on prime-time every day, on every channel!

Thanks for the compliment.

I've been posting regularly, so you have several articles to read.

Amazing. How do you find terrorist seminars? Will you go to Las Vegas? Long trip, if you attend this forum.

Security is tight these days. Terrorists won't highjack your plane.

Shah,
How do you find terrorist seminars?

I'm on several mailing lists.

Will I go to the Vegas seminar? Probably not, though I haven't yet decided. The seminar is during the school term, and I teach Tuesdays through Thursdays, with little option for getting a substitute. Unfortunately, the dates for this seminar do not coincide with my Thanksgiving or Christmas breaks.

I attended the last seminar, which was held here in the D.C. area.

Steve,
At the first symposium, we were locked into a room for a full day of classes on a Saturday. We didn't even get to leave the room for lunch! Thank goodness we were allowed one potty break. ;) By the time the presentations were over, I was drained.

Maybe in Vegas, infidels who attend the symposium will catch a few winks, then head for the casinos on Sunday.

I'd be colored there for sure, if I could afford it, and if I could take the time off from work.

Yeah, I'd be at the slot machines with a heineken in hand!

Ducky you said: "Wouldn't it be better to expose the racket that we call Homeland Security than engage in just another hate fest?"

I am always amazed that where ever I go your droppings of ignorance are there.

Symposiums on understanding just what threat we are up against are far from hate fests. I realize that even if you and the left combined your single cell brains together you still could not grasp that there are people out there that seek to destroy not only this country but the christian religion as well.

You and others like you run to DEFEND people like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who calls for the destruction of Israel and America, Ayman al-Zawahri who calls for the destruction of America and do we need to add (put that plan into action,) I will not go on with the list as it would take to much space.

You defend these people who put their words into action and you then have the gall whine and moan and say people who teach and the people who want to understand just what we are up against of spreading hate and hate mongering.

I'm just wondering did your Daddy if you had one attend the Nazi rallies held in Madison Square Garden calling for the U.S. to be brought under Nazi control? That might account for your insane logic.

Ducky I know the Constitution affords you the right to express your thoughts but it also affords you one other option. When you are done wringing your hands, whining and moaning about how evil this country is and and those of us who support it and its belief. You have the option of LEAVING going to live with these people you think are so wonderful.

To bad we cannot put into action the old story that some us grew up with. "The Man Without A Country."

I doubt there are many who know that story as AOW is to young but it is one I never forgot and it gave me my sense of love for this country, its flag and its ideals.
We may not be perfect but I can assure anyone after taveling the world there is no better country to live in.

I'm not so young as that. :)

Or maybe because I had a private education in high school, I know that beautiful piece of writing. In fact, "The Man Without A Country" is included in one of the literature texts I use with homeschoolers, and we read it last year.

I wonder if it's available online? If so, I should post the whole piece.

Justin,
I found the "The Man without a County" HERE.

‘In Memory of
PHILIP NOLAN,
Lieutenant in the Army of the United States.
HE LOVED HIS COUNTRY AS NO OTHER MAN HAS LOVED HER; BUT NO MAN DESERVED LESS AT HER HANDS.’”

AOW thank you so much for going out of your way to find that story. It was wonderful to read once again. Who could read it and not get a tear in their eye.

It brought back memories of when I was in school we were taught to love our Country, our Flag, and our Constitution. We were taught that with all our freedoms came responsibilities to G*D, Country and Family. This story was a strong foundation for teaching Patriotism. Yes, we were taught Patritotism in those days and I shudder when I see what children are taught about this country in our class rooms today.

Will there ever be a summers day again when, a father teaches his child to stand on the curb and proudly with hand over heart watch with awe as the Colors go waving by?

Are the days gone by when one stood with the crowd at a chilly friday night football game and gladly bowed their head in prayer and sang The Star Spangled Banner.
Are the days gone by when our children could recite at the start of the school day say with conviction and meaning "One Nation Under God."

Justin,
No trouble at all! I was glad to find the story online.

I should post the entire piece. Maybe one of my future postings?

Justin,
Those days are not completely gone. SOME still are unashamed of their patriotism, and some school children still learn those things.

AOW,

Probably all readers of Jihad Watch have already seen this announcement of another symposium where Robert Spencer will be a featured speaker.

Getting the first Symposium "off the ground" last year was such an exercise in frustration; it seems, though, that the ball has finally begun to roll, just as we all hoped it would. Maybe the ice is beginning to break.

I remember how incredibly difficult it was for the organizers of the first Symposium; hotel and other lecture facilities were afraid to allow critics of Islam to book the symposium at their facilities for fear of an attack, and major corporations were afraid to sponsor it. It's beginning to look as if the truth is beginning to catch on!

The Objectivist Conferences are always recorded, so if attending in person is impossible, the speakers will be available anyway!

Here is the list:

· Yaron Brook of the Ayn Rand Institute

· John Lewis of the Ashland University

· Daniel Pipes, director of the Middle East Forum

· Flemming Rose of Jyllands-Posten

· Peter Schwartz, author of The Foreign Policy of Self-Interest: A Moral Ideal for America

· Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch

Great job of summing up coming events. Sometimes these symposiums are often hard to find if you don't know where to look.
Obviously most of us are well familiar with Robert Spencer, but just finding out this information and posting it does a great service.
Thanks

BTW, November 10th is also the Gay Parade in Jerusalem (check my site for a commentary on that abomination), so if same-sex fornication can be promoted in the Holy Land's holiest place, against the will of the people, than a conference in Vegas that 90% of the country would agree with certainly should be do-able. At least, we would hope...

Crusader,
The first symposium, sponsored by America's Truth Forum (That site also offers free e-letters), was held this past April in the D.C. area; I attended. This next symposium will bring many of the same speakers to the Western portion of our country.
