American Crusader & CAIR

THIS is interesting. Excerpt:

"The following list contains all the responses/comments found at YouTube. It's pretty obvious that free speech is not one of Ahmed Bedier's favorite freedoms....Why not allow all comments?"

Instead of money, Bedier needs to go out and collect the names of the terrorists and violent thugs in his community and see that they are properly dealt with. Only then will I take ANY of his comments seriously.

Hear! Hear!

Interesting that CAIR did not support the Muslims Against Terrorism March in May of 2005. Hmmmm....

I find that some of the Muslim sites I visit..where I've criticized them for deleting/not approving my comments...seems they are approving some of them now.

Maybe some of them are getting it - if you don't approve a comment or delete it...kind of makes people wonder if you're afraid there's truth in it

Free Cyprus,
I've noticed the same.

I use comment moderation to keep foul language off of my blog, but I post all comments that are reasonable and on topic. I even have two regular commentors who are self-proclaimed Democrats and one liberal homosexual from London, but they've always been polite, and even funny. There is a certain class of commentor that I will not publish and I feel that is my right. However, it sounds like this guy just deletes the comments of anyone who doesn't agree with him, period! But as he is a Muslim I'm not surprised by it.

Gayle,
I plan to post regarding my unacceptable comments over at YouTube.

CAIR claims to want to build bridges. Censoring reasonable comments sends an entirely different message, IMO.

Nanc & TMW,
Fatwa back, collard greens, and German chocolate cake. Life is good!

PS: Let's add some cornbread. I'll make that!

PPS: All this reminds me that I've got a pork roast in the freezer. I've also laid in a supply of sauerkraut. The weather is getting cooler now, so I may fire up the crock pot and make a little feast--for us and for my 90-year-old aunt who so loves country cookin'!

PIM,

Your comment was approved and posted on my blog and I have responded to it. Most blogs are moderating comments. Everyone has to do that these days to avoid the spammers and the radicals.

Try posting a message on Little Green F(ee)tballs or (d)ihad watch and you'll quickly find out that it's censored.

You have a very distorted view of CAIR and myself. Our actions speak louder than your empty words and threats.

Who's trying to silence who? You and your friends are sooooo angry (I've read the hateful comments) that we have a voice on the web??
One of you actually put up some action alert to flag my videos on YouTube, another one has attacks on the guy that makes UmmahFilms? What is wrong with you, don't you have anything better to do?

We're speaking up against terror and violence, we're building bridges of understanding and working will the government and law enforcement and we are making a positive impact.

I'm sorry that I can not say the same thing for you and your weak alliance. All of you are using some anonymous screen names and are ashamed to publicly share those views. I doubt that anyone of significance will ever actually pay any attention to you.

How many of you are quoted in mainstream media?? That's what I thought.

Crusader,
I saw that and left Bedier a comment as follows (Italics = excerpt from Bedier's comment to Pim's Ghost):

Mr. Bedier,
This sounds reasonable: Most blogs are moderating comments. Everyone has to do that these days to avoid the spammers and the radicals.

But the comments I attempted to post at YouTube were innocuous. All I did was ask a few questions (although the wording wasn't interrogative).

A blog is one's property to do with as he or she sees fit. But YouTube? What's the point of having all those videos if reasoned, polite input from commenters is not welcome?

How many of you are quoted in mainstream media??

No way of knowing that, really.

As to anonymity...After what happened with Michael Graham, people are cautious. You are a public figure and do not require that anonymity.

I note that Bedier called Pim's Ghost "Pim." I wonder if he knows the significance of the name "Pim's Ghost."

i wonder if david horowitz would like to be enlightened about these events?

i've seen viewer suggestions show up later in articles over the last couple of years.

not that it had anything to do with me, but i believe i sent them mail one time and made comments to the effect that while we are so concerned over the indoctrination in higher education, we really needed to be concerned with what is going on in elementary and high schools - VOILA - they're now following the suggestions in their articles.

worth a try. i'm sure bedier would NOT appreciate horowitz on his tail.

As far as moderation I allow non spam posts. Bedier can post as he wishes on my site. However, this precanned stuff will not fly. Unlike some of you I have read Bat Yeor and others and see things differently.

Free Cyprus if you are interested in an interview on my blog let me know.

Brooke

Most of us have a form of moderation. This is a reality largely due to the antics of John Brown. Spam and dissent are different animals.

Yet we have our own sites and he has the same proprietorship we all have. However, I will not feel sorry for him given what some of us have endured. If he wants a closed site so be it.

I will not seek this person out but woe onto the Jihadi or Commie that sets foot at my site.

My policy is anyone not named John Brown or Gert may request an nterview. I need about one day to read a blog and get good questions.

I have interviewed a Jihadi who turned out to be fake. You can read that interview in my archives with Anum Muhktar. See Felis knows the Koran and I know local customs and a fraud does not last more than a coupe of moments.

I want to see if we can coat Free Cypress or Pims Ghost into an interview.

The nature of the Janjaweed in Darfur...

When a new lion takes over the pride and he had killed the cubs from the previous male, the mother of the cubs will then come into oestrus. She may only fall pregnant after a few months to ensure that the new male does not desert. Pride females will often have their litters of 1 - 4 at the same time. The cubs are then reared communally. The cubs weigh only 1 - 2 kg at birth and are as helpless as kittens, opening their eyes after 3 - 11 days. After 4 - 8 weeks the mother will lead the cubs to nearby kills, although they are only weaned at 7 - 10 months. There is often a high cub mortality, especially if hunting is scarce.

68% of Christian males have been killed.

Farmer,
The nature of the Janjaweed in Darfur.

For several years that I know of, the Janjaweed have been rampaging across the countryside. Now what's happening has become a cause celebre for some rather prominent individuals. These individuals have yet to address the ideology motivating the Janjaweed.

Farmer,

According to this source:

Nigeria is a leading petroleum producer and exporter. It is the 12th largest producer of petroleum in the world and the 8th largest exporter. Nigeria also has one of the world's largest proven natural gas and petroleum reserves and is a founding member of OPEC.

Love that Wikipedia for a quick reference!

But remember that yellow cake that Joe Wilson said Saddam wasn't trying to get his hands on?...

Despots typically search for more and more powerful weapons.
