Awesome!

This is a must see for everyone in the country(except the left, they'll stick to the party line as truth ain't all that important on their end).

I'm linking to this post right now!

I know this sort of thing goes on, but some of it makes me nervous because it has the conspiratorial-feel of the 9/11-was-staged whack-jobs.

Stephanie Gutmann wrote "The Other War" which hits upon this sort of staging. The cover shows AP reporters and photographers huddled around to film a youth in action, throwing something. Just like a stage actor.

The Sixy Minutes bit at the opening turned me off initially. It was only when I got past it that I really that it was just one of the better examples of how the lamestream media blindly reports Palestinian manufactured events as "news."

Glad you could post this video. We have an enemy that is commanded by Allah to kill infidels. So what's to stop them from lying to us as well?

People who strap bombs to their children and send them to blow up in crowds of men, women, children and infants can hardly be expected to hold to any standard of truthful conduct.

The problem is that once tragic images like those at Qana come out, the genie is out of the bottle. It's hard to inquire about the factual nature of such an event in that environment.

Seth,
Thanks!

Wordsmith,
Not necessarily. In the Palestinian case, the staging may well be a reality, whereas what happened on 9/11 truly was a bunch of terrorists using airplanes as weapons.

Mike,
I had a time getting the hang of embedding the video. Persistence won out!

The problem is that once tragic images like those at Qana come out, the genie is out of the bottle.

Visual images have more impact these days than the written word. Personally, I'm more of the auditory type and also tend to rely on the written word. But I realize that most people today aren't as I am.

Well, like I added in my comment, I don't doubt that this sort of staging goes on. Stephanie Gutmann's book is excellent on this. But what I didn't like in the video were the more speculative aspects..."why no blood on the leg"..."why is he smiling?", etc. I like the parts that they can substantiate, rather than speculate and suggest.

As for mentioning the 3 year old I will be blogging on for the 9/11 tribute, I picked him. You see, his fathers were already chosen. One of them was my boss. So, it's a bit personal.

I see those as legal hedging.

Yes, speculation is often presented as news. What's interesting to me is the bias of many news sources in that regard.

So, you have something personal for your 9/11 tribute? I didn't know anyone who perished that day. However, two of my homeschool parents were supposed to be in the Pentagon on 9/11--one in the room which was often televised as completely destroyed, with many bodies; he was called out of the building earlier that day. The other parent was on the other side of the building.

Because I don't personally know the two names given me (one for this blog, the other for Northern Virginiastan, I had to do a lot of research. But my posts are ready to go!

Tabari VII:94 “Muhammad bin Maslamah said, ‘O Messenger, we shall have to tell lies.’ ‘Say what you like,’ Muhammad replied. ‘You are absolved, free to say whatever you must.’”

HERE is something to take a look at:

'Disabled children [were] placed inside building' at Qana...

Tiberge translates the argument of a purported French nurse/blogger to speculate that Hezbollah are murdering disabled children for the cameras:
I am a registered nurse, with long years of experience with multiple-handicapped children and with older dependent persons. During the nightly news Sunday night, on TF1 TV, about the young victims of Qana, my attention was drawn to the abnormal posture of a dead child on a stretcher.

This child's arm was turned upward with the hand totally turned down. This posture is typical of the tendon contractions that occur in multiple-handicapped bed-ridden children, or those in a wheel-chair. I examined as best I could the other corpses shown in the report, and I was surprised to note that each one of them had signs of being handicapped (feet turned inward, knee and hand deformities...)

...Another journalist let the cat out of the bag last week. Writing on his blog while reporting from southern Lebanon, Time contributor Christopher Allbritton, casually mentioned in the middle of a posting: “To the south, along the curve of the coast, Hezbollah is launching Katyushas, but I’m loathe to say too much about them. The Party of God has a copy of every journalist’s passport, and they’ve already hassled a number of us and threatened one.”

Robertson is not the only foreign journalist to have misled viewers with selected footage from Beirut. NBC’s Richard Engel, CBS’s Elizabeth Palmer, and a host of European and other networks, were also taken around the damaged areas by Hezbollah minders. Palmer commented on her report that “Hizbullah is also determined that outsiders will only see what it wants them to see.”...

Anonymous, Crusader, and Duck,
About the credibility and integrity of the media....I've lost faith. What I see as a serious problem is that reliable information is not reaching us. Yet on go most Americans, believing everything they read in the newspaper--if they even read it. When any retractions or corrections are printed, tthey are not on the front page. We truly live in the age of sound-bites and quick grabs (just reading the headlines and possibly the portions of some stories on the front page only).

I've also noticed a change in journalistic writing--too dramatic, for example.

IMO, television news is a poor substitute for understanding current events.

AOW,

We have NEVER gotten honest reporting from Communist/Socialist/Dictatorships. They have ALWAYS been edited by the country.

The only honest reports would happen when people ESCAPING the country, or risking their lives by clandestinely communicating the negative out of the country.

The NYTraitors STILL have a Nobel for their reporter's Falsification of the conditions in Stalins Russia and possessions while millions of people were being purposefully starved to death.

The reports of Mao's communist takeover of China and Fidel's takeover of Cuba were similar in their total PROPAGANDA facets. In all cases the reporters were supportive of the proclaimed Communist Goals and helped sanitize and promote the REVOLUTIONS!!!

These and virtually all other reporting worldwide has been BIASED for as long as I can remember (early 60's), and for as long as our records show.

Think Apartheid South Africa. How biased can you get?? A peaceful, progressive country COMPARED to the Communist Holes supported by the MSM!!! Yes they had problems, BUT, nothing compared to what they are now and what the ONE-SIDED REPORTING REPRESENTED!!!

Let's not forget the Balkans where extremely biased reporting helped our NUTJOB Clintoon actually bomb the CIVILAINS AND INFRASTRUCTURE of a country to stop a NON-EXISTANT genocide supporting the Violent IslamoNazis attacking that country!!!

The head of CNN admitted they were doing the same in Sadam's Iraq. He was afraid the personnel would be hurt if they published honest news. The MSM is useless unless the country is relatively FREE. Even then there appears to be bias based on the LEFTY culture currently controlling the MSM.

The Dana's, John Brown's, and Ducky's who use this known FALSE HISTORY to try and argue their points are either the MORONS I call them or complicit in promoting the most vile activities we can imagine.

I will never show any respect for this kind of filth!!!!!

Anonymous,
We have NEVER gotten honest reporting from Communist/Socialist/Dictatorships. They have ALWAYS been edited by the country.

You went on to give several examples.

The controlled press has always been a tool of totalitarians.

My mother used to say something like this: "If the press is trumpeting a certain fellow as good, you can bet he isn't." She may have made that statement in reference to Castro. If I recall correctly, the NYT held up Castro as "a conservative." I might not be correct about the term, but I think I am.

George Orwell's 1984, which I read when I was in high school, contains much about the press and revisionism. I'm sure that you know what I'm talking about. Altogether, a depressing book! In fact, after reading it, for many years I just shut off insofar as following politics went. 9/11 brought me to the realization that I simply cannot ignore what's going on in the world. "The world is too much with us."

Anyone who willfully uses known false-history should be called on it. I'm sure you've noticed that my style is a bit different from yours. Remember, I'm a teacher. But insofar as is possible (and as I mentioned in an earlier comment), I allow my commenters their own style.

From that link about Qana:

TEL AVIV, Israel -- Human Rights Watch released a report in Beirut on Thursday directly contradicting its earlier claims that "at least" 54 Lebanese civilians people had been killed when the Israeli Air Force bombed an apparent Hezbollah target in the Lebanese village of Qana on July 30.

The controversial human rights group now says that only 28 people died in the air strike. It made no apology to Israel for its earlier inflated claims....

International news photographers helped jinn up anti-Israeli sentiment in the aftermath of the attack...

It is not a stretch to think these local photographers were in on the scam. There were no western photographers as well.

Lets see the first number was seven dead then 58 and now twenty eight. This is not the WTC and a small building.

Why were the bodies removed to Tyre if the custom is local burial?

Che Sucky Ducky:

That Lebanese saying explains why Hizbulla runs the country. The last person living, or willing to fight about it, writes the report or the history.

CNN and other reporters are already telling us that either local teams film and write the reports or, that Hizbulla HANDLERS tell them where to go and what to shoot. They also harass reporters who write reports Hizbulla doesn't like. As in, you are no longer allowed in this country, leave. Home office doesn't like having to replace field people all the time.

I am sure an old socialist like you is familiar with this type of control of news since it is, and was, practiced everywhere commies, socialists, mafia and even many so called DEMOCRACIES have been in control (like France...).

I get such a kick when MORONS like you and MR John Brown Stain try to pretend this type of propaganda activity isn't still consistently used in areas where there is activity that wouldn't be good for the PUBLIC to see.
